Farmgate Market

From our farm to your plate, purchase Urban Roots produce and support equity and access in the local, sustainable food movement.

We hold weekly markets on our farm at 21 Norlan Ave., every Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm seasonally from May until the end of October. We share what’s available at the farm gate market each week on our Instagram and Facebook pages. The farmgate market is located at 21 Norlan Ave and is accessible by car, transit, and the Thames Valley bike path. If you drive, please only park on the south side of the street. 

The markets also coincide with our volunteer days and are a great way to meet people in the community and from around the city. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about our day-to-day schedule and the work it takes to produce high-quality, sustainably-grown food; as well as gain access to affordable prices on our freshly-harvested produce. Online Store

During the months of November to January you can order our winter production produce through our online store. Pick up times for your online order are on Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm and Sundays from 10am to 1pm. The store is updated every Monday afternoon. We share what is available on the online store each week on our Instagram and Facebook pages. The farm is located at 21 Norlan Ave and is accessible by car, transit, and the Thames Valley bike path. If you drive, please only park on the south side of the street. 

Produce Gift Cards

We offer you the ability to invest in Urban Roots’ mission and vision by purchasing a reloadable Market Card, in an amount of your choosing, and then redeem your Market Card at any of our Farm-Gate Markets and Online Store. You can reload anytime in person or by e-transfer, and apply your balance toward any produce, merchandise purchase, or as a meaningful donation. Every purchase of a Gift Card is an investment in our organization’s operations and infrastructure which helps get us in the ground this spring and hit the ground running.

Gift Cards can be loaded for any amount, have no cash value, and do not expire. You can order one under the shop page and either get it mailed to you or pick it up on the farm! You can also purchase your gift card in person at the farmgate market. For those who spend a certain amount, we will be offering some small tokens of gratitude! Those who spend $250 or more will receive an Urban Roots tote bag (beautifully printed by our friends at Rezonance).
